Dancing “oriental” means knowing deeply the Arabic music tradition, knowing how to distinguish the various instruments and recognizing which movements are most suitable for each one. In addition, a true oriental dancer knows how to find the right balance between melody and rhythm, words and instrumental vibrations, thrilling all the spectators and driving them through the story that music tells.
Arabic music can be a therapy: through its countless sounds and styles, a woman can experience all human feelings: joy, pain, fear, energy, passion, delicacy, naivety, sensuality.
In my opinion, no other artistic discipline offers such a great expressive opportunity and for the dancer each performance comes to be an incomparable artistic and human experience!
